2. Application Modification – CRITICAL CHANGE
- CSE 2025: 7-day correction window (12.02.2025 to 18.02.2025) allowed after submission
- CSE 2026: NO modification allowed in ANY field after submission
- Impact: Candidates must be extremely careful while filling 2026 form – no second chance to correct errors
3. Biometric Security Enhancements
- CSE 2026 NEW:
- Live photo capture mandatory during application (in addition to upload)
- Face authentication mandatory at examination venue
- Signature must be done 3 times on white paper with black ink
- Impact: Significantly enhanced identity verification to prevent impersonation

- Blindness/Low Vision: 12 → 7 (-5)
- Locomotor Disability: 10 → 8 (-2)
- Multiple Disabilities: 9 → 7 (-2), with explicit exclusion of blind+deaf (B+D) combination

6. Extended Application Period
- CSE 2025: Till 11.02.2025 (20 days from notification)
- CSE 2026: Till 24.02.2026 (20 days from notification but 13 days more calendar time)
7. Question Paper Representation Window
- CSE 2025: 7 days (from day after exam)
- CSE 2026: 5 days (from 3rd day after exam to 7th day)
- Impact: Shorter window, starts later (allows UPSC to publish answer key first)
8. Post-Qualification Requirements
After Prelims (Mains eligibility):

13. ONE MORE CHANCE for Allocated Candidates – MAJOR NEW RULE
- CSE 2026 NEW: Candidates allocated to IPS or Central Service Group ‘A’ in CSE-2026 can appear in immediate next CSE-2027 if:
- They get training exemption from concerned authority
- One-time exemption only for joining training
- Impact: Allows candidates to attempt improvement of rank in next year without losing current allocation – unprecedented flexibility
